Mawell Care health service counselling had a successful start in Stockholm

Mawell Care, a subsidiary of Mawell Ltd, has run the healthcare service counselling in Stockholm’s hospital district since May 2008. The service was introduced according the planned schedule and both the customer and the citizens of Stockholm’s county are very pleased with their experiences during the first months.

Nordic healthcare service provider Mawell Care Ltd won a bidding competition on the provision of health care service counselling in the biggest hospital district of Sweden. Mawell Care’s service was valued as the best in quality and cost efficiency.

Mawell Care picked up the baton of the counselling service covering the whole Stockholm’s county with 1.9 million inhabitants on May 15th, 2008. In the Stockholm model, health care counselling has been divided into two sections: health counselling and service counselling. Mawell assumed responsibility for the service counselling.

”Mawell Care delivered Stockholm’s county the service at the appointed time and it has got of the ground with very high quality. So far the service has been a success and both us, the customer, and the inhabitants of the county are very pleased”, says Jonas Sareld, the Liable Project Manager.

”The service we deliver in cooperation with our Swedish partner, Multipartner AB, provides answers to healthcare service related questions. The service helps round the clock. We answer approximately 20 000 calls per month,” says Mikko Korkala from Mawell Care.

In the future the healthcare service counselling and patient guiding can be extended to selfcare internet services. Health counselling is part of Mawell’s S7 product family of self care and support solutions. The self care tools enable the patient to assume some responsibility and participate in his/her care process. The S7 eServices family includes such tools as appointment-making via the Internet, the NetNurse consulting tool, and the monitoring and reporting of laboratory test results and the patient’s own test results.
