Mawell Ltd. changes its CEO. Mr. Tero Silvola, who has been in command for 10 years, leaves the company for new challenges outside of Mawell Ltd. His successor is a Swede, Mr. Jan Larsson. However, Mr. Silvola stays as owner and adviser of Mawell, which offer solutions for healthcare and wellness business.
At the moment, Mr. Larsson works for a Swedish IT company called Systeam Ab, where he is in charge of the healthcare solution sector. Mr. Larsson has a long experience in the developing of solutions for several business sectors.
”There are no upcoming changes in Mawell´s strategy. We pursue to continue a strong internationalization with our major partners in Europe. Our roots are firmly in Finland and Sweden, where we are envisioning the future products with our Key Customers," says Mr. Jon Risfelt, the Chairman of the Board in Mawell.
Mr. Silvola says that he feels the time is right to meet the new challenges.
”Ten years at the command in the same company is a relatively long time. It is time to renew and allow the possibility for new thoughts. I have finalized the task, for which I committed when Mawell was established. The company reached the targets, which were set in 2000, and is now ready for next growing phase," he states.
According Mr. Silvola, the initial targets for Mawell were set as approximately 20 million euro turnover, and personnel about 150. These aimed numbers have now been reached, and the company has strong organizations focusing on social and healthcare sectors in Finland and Sweden, and has customers in ten countries. In several product segments, Mawell is a market leader in the Nordic Countries.
Mawell HQ will remain in Helsinki, despite the fact that Mr. Larsson will operate out of the Stockholm office.
